Timothy Blair Burnight, 28, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Timothy was born on June 15, 1987, in Evanston, Illinois, the son of Tom Alan Burnight of Park Ridge, Illinois and the late Judith Lynn (Mann) Burnight. Tim is survived by his sister Jessica Lynn Burnight of Chicago, Illinois and Lisa Cristine Simone, significant other, of St. Louis, MO.; grandparents Larry and Olive Mann, Mesa, Arizona; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and significant other loved ones.
Tim's bright yet short life had a marked propensity for achievement and success. Time was a 2005 graduate of Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Illinois. He continued to achieve a Bachelor of Arts at Purdue University (Magna Cum Laude) and Master of Arts in Psychology at University of Houston (Phi Beta Kappa) during which time he participated in a research fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Tim was currently enrolled in the Program in Physical Therapy at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, with expectation of receiving his Doctor of Physical Therapy in May of 2016.
Tim was an avid personal fitness enthusiast, winning amateur awards and titles for bodybuilding.
Cremation rites were accorded in St. Louis. An opportunity to express condolences to the family will be held at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott (at Cumberland), Park Ridge, IL, Saturday, September 12th from 2 – 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the
