Suzanne Marie Porcelli, age 88, of Park Ridge, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Beloved wife of Richard J. Porcelli, Sue was the devoted mother to Dawn (Jeffrey Bussie) Williams and proud stepmother to Gina Porcelli. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Darlene (Don) Michener and Janice Hennings, and brother in law Joseph Porcelli Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to Stephanie (Clay) Purdom, Alaina (Blake) Stratton, and Susanne Williams; and loving aunt to Amanda Hennings, Stephanie Graca, Alia Calendar, Patricia LaRocco, Maria (Kenneth) LaRocco, and Chuck LaRocco. She was a proud great-grandmother and great aunt to many and loyal to all who knew her.

Sue was preceded in death by her dear sister and best friend, Betty LaRocco, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.

A brilliant mind with a warm heart, Sue was a former member of MENSA and a lifelong lover of learning. She found joy in the simple pleasures—especially gardening, where she tended to her plants with the same care she gave to those around her. Her loyal cat, Magic, was a constant companion and now misses her dearly.

Sue's memory will live on in the stories shared, the gardens grown, and the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation, Wednesday, June 18, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Funeral Service, Thursday, 9:00 a.m., at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. Park Ridge. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Des Plaines.
