Salvatore (Sam) Gendusa, age 75, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away at his home in March 31, 2018.  His father, Anthony Gendusa, was killed in Germany in WWII when Salvatore was an infant.  His mother, Vida (Verciglio) Gendusa and Salvatore lived with the Grippo family until her death.  He is survived by two cousins he grew up with, Joseph Grippo of California, and Gerald Grippo of Florida and their children, Diana Grippo and John Grippo (mother Nancy), Angela Grippo-Wu and Alex Grippo (mother Joan).  Salvatore graduated from Foreman High School and he was also an all star on Mike Royko's Softball Team. Memorial service Saturday, June 30, 11 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road, Park Ridge. Interment Private. For more information please call 847-823-5122.
