Ruth Martindale, (nee Steerup) age 100, beloved wife of the late Arthur; loving mother of the late Jim and David; cherished grandmother of Eric Martindale; dear aunt and friend to many at Fairview Village in Downer's Grove.

Ruth was born and reared in Chicago. She attended Moody Bible Institute's evening school and was active for many years in Sunday School work. Ruth had a intimate relationship with the Lord. Ruth wrote from her heart and published two Christian poetry books. The Quiet Heart and Through It All: Poems from a lifetime of Faith in the Lord.

Family will have a private funeral service at Town of Maine Cemetery.
