IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert E.
Williams
December 9, 1949 – March 26, 2022
Robert E. Williams, "Willie", age 72; beloved husband of Janice; loving father of Thad (Amie) and Chris (Dail); cherished grandfather of Gabe, Paige and Shane; dearest brother of Patricia (Larry) Frieders, Kathie Green and the late Marilyn Williams; fond uncle of Joel (Julie) Frieders, Lydia (Dave) Lesniak, Ken Green, Adrienne (Jay) Gillette and Mark Laut.
We will remember Robert or "Willie" as a great husband, fantastic Father, and a loving Grandfather. Growing up he was always there to support his children in all of our activities and endeavors. He was never too busy to play catch, attend our sporting events or Cub / Boy Scout meetings and trips or take us to a ballgame.
Robert loved Chicago sports and attended Bears, Bulls, White Sox and Blackhawks games regularly. He always attended concerts our bands played, and was always supportive and willing to help when we were going through hard times. He always went above and beyond for his family.
Robert was a lawyer and he would fight hard for those who couldn't fight for themselves. He would always keep his family updated about his cases and he was always willing to give legal advice and help to friends and family. We truly believe he would still be working today at age 72 if he hadn't gotten sick.
Aside from his family and professional life, Robert loved animals and we had a number of pets growing up including cats Hashberry, Spunky, Jenny, Sparky, Molly and Livewire and dogs Amelia, Buster, Babe and Lucy. His cat Livewire has stayed with him until the end, often curling up next to him on his hospital bed at the house.
Robert, Bob, "Willie", Dad, Uncle Bob, Uncle Willie, "Crandpa" was well loved and will be dearly missed.
