Quaid, Robert E. "Bob", 74, of Geneva, IL passed away May 18, 2022. Beloved husband of Paula nee: Hershey, devoted father of Bridgette (Jeff) Cole, David Quaid, Anne Quaid and Patrick (Enza) Quaid, Devoted step father of Jennifer (Brian) Ashmore, Noël (David) Leatherbury, Stephanie (Matthew) Califar and Christin Sogge. Cherished Grandfather of Colin, Sophia, Maddie, Cate, Owen, Campbell, Charlie, Laura, Jonathan and Fiona. Dear brother of Patricia O'Shea and fond uncle of Meghan.

Bob was born in Chicago, IL to Bob and Marge Quaid on November 11, 1947. He grew up in Chicago and after attending St. Patrick's High School (Chicago), he spent two years playing baseball at St. Joseph's College (Rensselaer, IN) then graduating from University of Dayton (OH) with a major in Poly Sci and minor in Economics. He went on to receive his Masters in Social Science – Urban Studies at Northeastern Illinois University. He joined the CPD in 1970, served in various roles and retired 35 years later as a Watch Commander-Captain of the 23rd District.

While Bob enjoyed travel and sports (with a special nod to the Cubs) his greatest joy was spending time with his kids and 10 grandchildren.
