Fortini, Robert
Beloved husband of Bernice (Anderson), father of Eileen (Kim) Morehouse, Paul (Josephine), and Jean Fortini, died peacefully on June 25th. He was born in Chicago on April 26, 1931. Robert had a long career as a teacher at Schurz High School Chicago and upon retirement, he became a full time U.S. Immigration Officer. He was a devoted uncle to Daniel and Kevin Powers and their families
Upon retirement, he volunteered at the Oâ??Hare Interfaith Chapel and the Oâ??Hare USO. During his lifetime, he imparted his love of learning, travel, adventure, history, and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed the opera, the symphony and theatre. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.
Visitation will be at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road (at Cumberland), Park Ridge from 3PM to 9PM on Friday, June 28th. Funeral is Saturday, June 28th at St. Juliana Church 7200 N.
