Phillip J. Laverty "Jack", 68, loving husband of 35 years of Floy Q. Laverty; devoted father of Floy I. (Russell) DeLuca; beloved Pops of Joseph DeLuca and Sofia DeLuca; cherished brother of Terri (Jim) Mays, Mike (Heidi) Laverty, Joan (Tom) Haas, and Patty (Chris) Pausch; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Alice and Phillip Laverty and his brother David Laverty.

Jack was a huge baseball fan (with a particular soft spot for the Cubs) and enjoyed researching his family history and Irish roots. Jack was known best for his position at Bristol Court Condominiums as their beloved property manager. Just this past September, after 25 years, Jack retired from his position. He was recognized by the condominium board as a dedicated steward of Bristol Court, who used his engineering knowledge on all projects and kept the grounds in beautiful shape no matter the season. Most importantly, he cared deeply about all the people who called Bristol Court their home. His knowledge, guidance, and friendship will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott Rd., Park Ridge, IL 60068. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or charity of your choice in Jack's Memory.
