Paul Jackson, 83 of Park Ridge, highly respected newspaper and wire service photojournalist, died very peacefully, December 7, 2012 in a healthcare facility near his home in Park Ridge Illinois. Jackson was a sports photojournalist with the U.P.I. whose work was featured in major periodicals nationwide. Later he ran a successful commercial photography company focused on the legal industry. Beloved husband of Carole for 37 years; dear father of Thomas (Cary), James, David Dahl, Diane Chaine and the late Daniel; loving grandfather of Hope, Thomas James, Griffin and Kendra; fond brother of Stephanie Ferrera, Robert and the late John Philip, John Brian and Katharine Schaer; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday 4 to 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road, Park Ridge. Funeral Tuesday 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Mary, Seat of Wisdom Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
