In loving memory of Michael Anthony Chico, 66, who transitioned from this world on June 29, 2024.

Michael "Mike" Chico was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 29, 1957, to Joseph and Ciprianna Chico. He grew up in Burr Ridge, Illinois, and graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1975. Michael attended Western Illinois University, where he was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. He spent his career with United Parcel Service, serving on the delivery team for over 30 years and receiving multiple acknowledgments and awards. Known for his kind heart and approachable personality, Michael made friends easily and throughout his life.

Michael was a wonderful partner, father, abuelo (grandfather), son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, generosity, and sense of humor. Michael enjoyed spending time with friends and family, sharing meals and stories, listening to music, and being a loyal Chicago sports fan.

Michael is survived by his partner of eight years, Donna Huyser; his children, Cassandra (Matthew) Turk, Isabella Rose, and Michael Chico Jr.; and his treasured grandchildren, Benjamin, William, and Nathan. He also leaves behind his beloved parents, Joseph and Ciprianna Chico, and his sisters, Michelle (Ezekiel) Rodriguez, Gina (Craig) Hallbauer, and Adrienne (William) Haas. Michael was an adored uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, which brought him immense happiness and purpose.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Juliana Catholic Church, 7201 N Oketo Ave. Chicago, IL 60631, a Celebration of Life will follow at Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria, 6727 N Olmsted Ave. Chicago, IL, 60631, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
