Mary O'Connor died at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Niles, IL. She was 84.

Born Mary Frances O'Connor to the late Edmund O'Connor and Janet Chmielewski on May 9, 1941 in Chicago, IL, she is survived by her son John Kinstler and her brothers John and Mike.

She met her future husband, Barron Kinstler, working at Lawter International and gave birth to her son John in 1973. She would go on to spend the rest of her career working for the American Red Cross to bring disaster relief to those around the country who needed help.

An avid amateur photographer and traveler, she explored every state in the US and took many pictures along the way. She filled her home with art and joy and will be deeply missed by her family and the many friends she made along the way.

Visitation, Sunday, March 22, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Interment to be held privately.
