Mary Anne Johnson, nee Nelson, age 96; dear wife of the late Julius E.; beloved mother of David (Maureen Egan) and Karen (Mark Hoffman); dear grandmother of Nathan Hoffman (Christine Beckhusen) and Eli Hoffman (Jamie O'Sullivan); great-grandmother of Chandler; preceded in death by her siblings Earl Nelson, Janet Lang and Forrest Nelson; fond aunt of many. Mary Anne was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Chicago, she was kind to everyone and will be missed by all.  Services will be held private.
