Mary "Huddie" Francis Ahern was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on July 4, 1939. She entered Heaven's gates on July 31, 2023.

A loving mom and a doting granny, Mary committed her time and energy to bringing warmth and happiness to her family. Mary grew up with six brothers (Jerry, Danny, Mickey, Ricky, Victor, and Terry) and two sisters (Jewell and Tine) enjoying years of large holiday gatherings, vacations, affection, and laughter nestled in the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountain ranges. Mary was a dear aunt and great aunt to many beautiful nieces and nephews.

Mary is survived by her daughter Sherry Richard and her husband Julien, son James Ahern and partner, Jenni. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin.

A visitation time to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a time of remembrances and sharing will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home 820 Talcott, Park Ridge.  Interment Private.  For information 847-823-5122 .
