Marilyn D. Rad, 64, cherished daughter of the late Lorraine and the late Norbert Rad; treasured sister of Linda Oakleaf and Jane Rad; devoted aunt of Steven Oakleaf; and beloved friend to many,  many loving and dedicated friends.

Marilyn was a warm and adventurous spirit who found joy in exploring the world around her. She loved to travel and especially cherished going on cruises, where she could experience new places and meet people from all walks of life. A devoted reader, Marilyn was drawn to non-fiction books that deepened her understanding of the world and the people in it. Above all, she was a true friend. Marilyn was thoughtful, kind, and always checking in on others to make sure they were doing well. Her caring heart and genuine presence made her beloved by many.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott Road, Park Ridge, IL. Funeral Prayers will be on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, procession will follow to Mary Seat of Wisdom for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
