Lynn C. Guazzo of Niles, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 at 79 years old.

Lynn was born on January 6th, 1947 on the Epiphany of the Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Walter Reimen, her sister Cheryl Kuni, her brother-in-law Sonny Kuni, her mother-in-law Louise Blumenthal and her niece Sonja (Daniel) Ceisel. She married Lawrence “Larry” Blumenthal in 1968. Their love story was cut short due to Larry’s terminal cancer diagnosis. She remarried in 1993 to Benedetto Guazzo and was married for 29 years.

She is survived by her daughter Dawn Brunner (nee Blumenthal), her two grandchildren, Danielle (Nicholas) Zabloudil and Christopher Brunner, her sister-in-law Elaine (Ola) Jensen, her nieces, Sonya (Isaac) Horn, Tonya (Andrew) Horn, Kirsten (Kurt) Carlson and Robin Kempa.

She worked as head of security at JC Penney at Golf Mill Mall Niles, IL for many years and security at Notre Dame High School in Niles, IL.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, March 14, 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service, 4:00 p.m., Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. Park Ridge. Interment to be held privately.
