Leo Patrick Downey Jr. was born in Streator IL in 1969. He loved boats, cars, and gardening. He worked in sales for decades, most recently at Sunglass Hut at O'Hare Airport, since 2012. He is survived by his husband, David Coronado, his daughter, Aleesa Downey, Aleesa's mom, Kelly Downey, in-laws Dave & Sunny Coronado, his aunt and uncle Deb Tutko Christensen and Dave Christensen, as well as many other extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 6, 4:00 p.m. until the time of a Tribute at 7:00 p.m., at The Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave. Elmwood Park, IL 60707.
In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial donations to an animal shelter of your choice.
Interement will be held privately.
