Kristine Anne Thorton (Oman), 66, of Park Ridge was called home on December 21, 2024. Those lucky enough to have had Kris in their lives experienced her big heart and tremendous giving spirit. Kris was always willing to offer her time, her heart and her love to anyone. Her loving nature is an enduring quality that will live on in all who knew her.  Kris loved traveling, music, cooking and meeting new people along with the occasional slot machine. She was a gentle woman who had a big laugh who loved nothing more than spending time with her friends and family. Kris has been reunited with her beloved husband Patrick who preceded her in death. She left an indelible mark on her children, Dana (Douglas) Banicki and Timothy Barabas. Kris loved her kids, but would light up when around or talking about her grandchildren, Ronald and Eleanor Banicki, who loved nothing more than spending time with their "Lolli". Kris was a devoted sister to Joy (Edward) Dubowski and leaves behind several nieces, nephews and friends she considered her family.

Services will take place on Friday, January 3, 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m, at Nelson Funeral Home at 820 W Talcott Rd. in Park Ridge with a memorial service beginning at 6:30pm.

A Celebration of life Brunch will take place on Saturday, January 4th at 11am., at Zia's Social, 6158 N Northwest Hwy, Chicago, IL 60631.Valet Parking will be provided.

Burial will be private.
