Kevin Thomsen 34, passed away on Monday January 18, 2021.

Kevin, born on July 26, 1986 was a lifetime resident of Grayslake attending Grayslake High School and determined to be an electrician like his dad. He became a Journeyman Electrician and was a member of the I.B.E.W Local Union 150.

Kevin spent his adolescent years outside with his buddies, all outfitted in camouflage. He was an outdoorsman. Growing up he experienced hunting, fishing but loved snowmobiling, skiing, ATV'ing, watching and participating in all Sports. He even got to co-coach his nieces softball team.

At 19 years of age Kevin as an apprentice was already managing commercial jobs. His skills were apparent and his devotion to the job was clear to all. He was a top-notch electrician with growing carpentry skills. From early on, Kevin had a distinct demeanor about him which caused those he encountered to take notice of this quiet spoken fellow who could intuitively link into the needs and wellbeing of others. His easy sense of humor, innocent vulnerability and sincere nature has resulted in lifelong friendships.

The last 10 years of Kevin's life had mountains too big to overcome. Kevin's fight is now finished. GOD has taken him home.

Kevin was the beloved son of Kathy Morrissey and the late Keith Thomsen, brother to Vanessa (Robert) Chapman and Katie (Jason Rivelli) Thomsen, grandchild to Dennis Morrissey, the late Helen Morrissey and the late Kenneth (Lucille)Thomsen, nephew to Eddie Morrissey, Denny (Lori) Morrissey, Therese (David Lake) Morrissey, uncle to Kaylie and Elle, cousin to Ryan (Aly), Bobby, Jaime, Heidi,  best friend to Joe Mangano, Brian Englehardt and many more.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haymarket Rehab Center of Chicago.

Due to the Covid restrictions of Illinois and local govenment the Memorial Mass and Interment are Private.
