Kevin Daniel Robery, age 55, died at his home in Park Ridge on Saturday June 28, 2014. He was born June 18, 1959 in Frankfurt Germany. He was the first born son of Daniel Robery and Sandra (Babbitt) Robery.

He grew up in Park Ridge, IL where he attended Roosevelt Elementary and Lincoln Junior High. He graduated from Maine South High School in 1977. He attended Wheaton College, and LeTourneau University earning a BS in Electrical Engineering.

He began his career in Greenville, Texas working as a defense contractor for Esystems. He developed Electrical programs on many government aircraft during the Reagan and Bush administration.

On November 12, 1983 He married Sheri Connor and built a home with her. Together they had 3 children. Kevin and Sheri enjoyed serving God as missionaries and traveled the country with their children for many years. They developed and fostered lifelong relationships with many people.

Later in life, Kevin thrived; working as a video producer for Awana Clubs International. He received many awards and accolades for his talent.

Kevin also loved the open road and worked as a semi-truck driver in recent years.

Kevin had a deep and wonderful relationship with his Savior Jesus Christ. He loved quoting scripture, studying the Word and having theological discussions.

Kevin's purpose in life was raising and providing for his kids in a loving Christian home.

Kevin was a man of MANY talents. His special interests and hobbies included playing the piano, French horn, and writing music. He loved spending time at his families' Bear Lake home in Hazelhurst, Wisconsin. He was happiest building a campfire, listening to the sounds of loons and owls deep in the northern woods.

Left to honor Kevin and remember his love are his 3 children, Tara Lynne (Brad) Blue, Joshua Kevin Thomas (Rachel) Robery, Shara Beth (Mark) Barth; 4 grandchildren Riley Robery, Dustin Robery, Autumn Barth, and the yet to be named Baby Blue; his parents Daniel Robery, Sandra Robery; his sister Yvonne Robery, brothers Brent (Susan) Robery, Mike (Kim) Strout, Jeff (Marguerite) Strout and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin will be remembered by his family and friends as a man who loved the Lord and sought to honor Him in all he did.

Memorial visitation for Kevin will be July 13 from 12 Noon - 2PM at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott (and Cumberland), Park Ridge. Memorial services will begin at 2 PM at the funeral home. For more info please call 847.823.5122.
