Karl S. Tangeros, age 92, of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2020. Loving husband of Grete Tangeros for 62 years; beloved father of Karen (Frank)  Potempa, Roy Tangeros and Kirsten (Chris) Thomas; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Nina, Connor and Mia; dear brother of Kermit (Irene) Tangeros; fond uncle of Gary Tangeros and Gail Tangeros; longtime friend to many.

Karl was a member of the Normennenes Singing Society for over 70 years. He has received a medal of honor for participating in over 25 Sangerfests (Norwegian Male Chorus Conventions) and has taken 2 choral singing trips to Norway. Karl is a proud World War II veteran, Norwegian and a loving family man. Karl was instrumental in moving the Norwegian 17 ^th of May Parade to Park Ridge, IL, organized the event for over 10 years and was honored as a grand marshall for his efforts.
