Judy Catino, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025.

Born on May 5, 1955, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late James & Margaret Belvedere and cherished sister to Jayne. She lived a life filled with warmth, joy, and a genuine love for people. She was the proud mother of two sons, Chris (Jenna) and Nick (Samantha), whom she loved deeply, along with the many friends who were always welcome in her home while they were growing up. Her heart expanded even more as she became the adoring grandmother of three, soon to be four, grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy.

Judy shared a loving partnership with her fiancé, Brian, and maintained a lifelong bond with her former husband, Carmen, whom she cared for with kindness and compassion through difficult times.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Judy built a successful career at Philip Morris. Ever adventurous, she proudly obtained her pilot's license, an achievement she treasured even if it was seldom put to use.

Judy's jovial spirit was her signature and she had a gift for filling a room with laughter. She loved cooking, enjoying a fine glass of wine, and spending memorable evenings in the company of family and friends. Her life was a beautiful balance of accomplishment, adventure, and deep, genuine connection with those around her.

Judy's presence will be profoundly missed, but her love, laughter, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A visitation will take place Thursday, August 21, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m., Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. Park Ridge, IL 60068. Interment to be held privately.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 22, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Zia's Social, 6158 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago.
