Joseph John McGarrigle, age 69 of Chicago, IL passed away on November 29, 2016 at Capt. James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center at the Great Lakes Naval Base. Joe was a proud United States Marine Vietnam Veteran, giving the ultimate sacrifice for his country from a service related illness. Joe is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Lauren; beloved daughter, Shannon Fallen of Mascoutah, IL and her children, Kayla, Andrew and Scott. He also will be dearly missed by his sisters; Peg (Rick) Lynch of Morton Grove, IL and Beth (Sam) Vavoularis of Dunedin, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth (Dunne) McGarrigle of Chicago. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Queen of All Saints Basilica. The family welcomes your presence at the visitation on Sunday, from 4 to 8 pm at Nelson Funeral Home at 820 W. Talcott Road, Park Ridge. Please meet at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 Sauganash Ave, Chicago. Monday for 10 am for Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment Rosehill Cemetery.
