Joseph F. Chevalier, age 80, passed away July 26, 2022. Beloved husband of Patricia Chevalier. Loving father of Janelle (nee Chevalier) Grieshaber and Jacqueline (Perry) Reynolds. Devoted son of Harold and Bernita Chevalier. Proud grandfather of Ashley and Evan Greishaber and Devyn Reynolds. Dear brother of Joan Stelzer, James (Sandra) Chevalier, Judy Troglia and Michael (Patricia) Chevalier. Fond uncle of multiple nieces and nephews. Joe was a pilot, motorcyclist, and boat captain, logging many sea miles on the high seas to great small lake and river towns. He was an investigator, entrepreneur, and loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren or the beach in Florida after giving up motorcycling and boating. Joe lived life to the fullest, travelled extensively especially to his other home away from home in Hawaii.

Visitation Friday, July 29, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 West Talcott Road, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Friends and family may meet Saturday, July 30 at Nelson Funeral Home for prayers at 9:00 AM prior to a Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 794 Pearson Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org or Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org would be appreciated.
