John "Bud" Watson, age 67, passed away at his home on April 11, 2021.  He was born December 28, 1953 in Oak Park, IL and was a lifelong resident of Park Ridge. John graduated from the University of Illinois in 1975. He worked for the Park Ridge Public Works Water Department for over 35 years.

Devoted son of the late Thomas C. and Lenore Watson. Loving brother of Margaret Watson (Bill Schafer), Nancy (Dennis) Good and Daniel (Kathleen) Watson. Cherished uncle of Katy (Alessandro Febretti), Chelsea (Vanessa Hamer), Margaret (Ben Straub), Danny, Augie, Mickey and Micah; great uncle of Emilia, Isabel and Odette.

Visitation Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 3 – 7 p.m.  Funeral Prayers 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 26 ^th at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott Road, Park Ridge to St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 320 S. Washington St., Park Ridge 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. Only 50 guests are allowed at Church.  If you plan to attend, please email your name and phone number to Kathy Watson or nelsonfunerals@gmail.com . All are welcome to attend the interment at Rosehill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

John will be lovingly remembered as a kind and generous man.
