Farkas, 89, wife of the late Bela, mother of Barbara (Bill) Nestlehut, the late Steve Thomas, the late Cecil Thomas, Bela (Melanie) Farkas, Joanie (the late James Kalasky) Farkas, Attila Farkas, Louie (Katharine) Farkas, grandmother of Stefka Zhelyaskov, the late Steve Thomas, Michael (Orshina) Zhelyaskov, Bela Farkas,Andrew Farkas, Aaron Farkas, Liliana Farkas, Josh Farkas, Johanna Kalasky, Jimmy Kalasky, Katie Farkas, and Matilda Farkas; great-grandmother of Nicholas Zhelyaskov, Jacob Garcia, the late Joseph Garcia, Victor Garcia, and Emma Zhelyaskov; loving sister to seven; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Sunday, June 14, 2020, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. (Talcott and Cumberland). Funeral services are private, JoAnn will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
