IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joan E.
Lowe
March 30, 1938 – March 3, 2022
Joan E. Lowe, nee Hamilton, was born March 30, 1938, in York, PA. She passed away March 3, 2022, following a 15-year battle with Parkinson's disease. She died at home in the arms of her partner and husband of 38 years, Craig Lowe, in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. He assisted her in her transition from life to eternal peace.
She was a mother, a stepmother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a sister, an aunt, and friend to those whose interests were similar to hers. She was an avid quilter, a knitter, and a voracious reader.
She was a retired nurse practitioner and was one of the first nurses in the Chicago area to enter the specialty of reproductive endocrinology (in-vitro fertilization). She loved her babies.
She and her husband moved to Hot Springs Village in 2015 from Algonquin, IL, and she was able to enjoy the friendships and feeling of a close community for her remaining years.
If you wish to make a memorial contribution please consider the Michael J Fox foundation for Parkinson's, for their relentless research to find a cure for those living with PD.
She is survived by her husband, R. Craig Lowe, Jr.; her 4 children Jodi Bozzelli, Joy Bozzelli, Janis Pragovich, and Jeff Bozzelli; her stepson, Robert (Rob) Lowe III; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her brother Robert Hamilton.
