Jean C. Kruger passed away on December 10, 2020 at the age of 94 years.  A smart, barrier breaking woman, stylish dresser, exceptional baker, loyal friend and devoted daughter. A resident of Edison Park, Illinois for more than 50 years before moving to Huntley, Illinois. A graduate of North Park University with a degree in business. Jean used her vivacious personality and her business savvy working most of her career in downtown Chicago at the Chicago Furniture Mart and later at Northwest Electrical Supply in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Jean enjoyed the arts, attending theatre productions and going to dinner and with friends and family. Jean's treasured companion was her pocket radio, keeping well informed about world events and local happenings. Jean loved her city, Chicago. Jean also loved to shop – especially for shoes.

Jean is predeceased by her parents Herman and Christine Kruger.  She will be lovingly remembered by her cousin Donald Whitfield as well her family Wayne (Ron), Lynne (Jim) and Craig (Tammy).  Jean will be forever remembered by Katie (Matt), Kristy (Justin), Kolleen (Mark), Tom and Crystal along with Riley, Reese, Madden, and Molly.  She will be fondly remembered by Joyce, Judy, Rick, Carol and by her extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W Talcott Rd, Park Ridge, Illinois. A private funeral service for immediate family will follow. Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois. A celebration of Jean's life will be held in 2021 for all her family and friends to attend.
