Hillary C. Moore – Szmelter, age 31, a fun-loving, free-spirited soul. Loving daughter of Charles and Leyla Moore; beloved wife of Thomas Szmelter; dedicated sister and best friend of Hayley (Connor Murrell) Moore; dear granddaughter of Judith (the late Dr. Kemal) Gursal and the late Robert and Marie Moore; cherished daughter-in-law of Tadeusz and Marzena Szmelter; she will be missed by her forever puppy Oakley. Hillary was raised in Cincinnati, OH and graduated with honors from Clemson University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. She was an active member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. Hillary was proud of leading a team at CVS corporate that made a positive impact on others in the health care setting. She enjoyed being a world traveler and visiting many continents, meeting new people and learning about their cultures. She was a music lover who enjoyed a sunny day driving in her Volkswagen convertible bug. Hillary was here for only a short time, her bright spirit will always live on with all her friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all.  Hillary had an aggressive cancer and still lived every day to the fullest. During her treatments Hillary received many units of blood that she was grateful to receive.

In lieu of flowers, Hillary would want you to pay it forward and donate blood in her memory.

Memorial gathering will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 from 4 to 9 P.M. with a 7 P.M.  Celebration of Life at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road. Park Ridge.
