Heraclio Garcia Barajas, 78, passed away on January 11, 2026. Loving son of the late Heraclio and the late Angelina Garcia. Beloved brother the late Jesus (Joaquina) Garcia Barajas, Teresa (the late Gonzalo Munguia) Munguia Barajas, the late Luis (the late Abigail Garcia Becerra) Garcia Barajas, the late Jose Dolores (the late Consuelo Garcia) Garcia Barajas, Guillermina (the late Enrique Valdez) Valdez Garcia, and Esther (the late Jose Luis Becerra Lopez) Becerra Barajas. Fond uncle of many in Chicago and Mexico.

Heraclio was an exceptionally dedicated son, caring for his mother Angelina her entire life after the untimely passing of his father. Heraclio will be remembered by his family as an extremely hard worker, who nevertheless had a great love and skill for singing, and was tremendously hospitable and welcoming to all who knew him.

Visitation Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4 - 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott Rd., Park Ridge, IL 60068. Family and friends will meet Saturday morning at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church (Mary, Mother of Martyrs Parish), 794 Pearson St., Des Plaines, IL 60016 for 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment will be held in Mexico.
