Helen Hatzis, nee Panagakis, age 90, of Nestani, Arkadias Greece, passed away on Monday, December 2nd. Beloved wife of the late Pete Hatzis. Loving mother of Maria (Peter) Chekalas, Alexandra Hatzis, Vasilios Hatzis, Demetrios Hatzis, and proud grandmother of Glykeria "Keri" Chekalas. Devoted daughter of the late Elias and Athanasia Panagakis and dear sister of Georgia (Pete) Mourikis, Aliki (the late George) Adamopoulos and Chrisavgi (the late Alex) Tsiakopoulos. Cherished aunt, cousin and friend of many. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. , at Nelson Funeral Home located at 820 W. Talcott Avenue in Park Ridge . Family and friends will meet Friday morning , December 6th, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church located at 2727 W. Winona in Chicago, Illinois , for Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
