Harriet M. Bolling, nee Wikstrom, age 96, of Bensenville and formerly of Antioch and Chicago. Harriet passed away on September 2nd at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital when her heart finally gave out. She was born in Chicago on December 2, 1920 to the late Lydia and John Wikstrom. She met the love of her life, Pehr Bolling at age 16. Marrying in 1942, they shared 64 devoted years together until his death in 2008. She was the beloved mother of Barbara (Paul) Rimington and the late Thomas (Birgitta). She was "Nanny" to her cherished grandchildren Rob (Amy) Rimington, Kristin Rimington (Angel Gomez), the late Carl Bolling and Marie Bolling and to her great-grandchildren, Ellie, Luke, Diego, Nico, Alex and Luca. For the last 10 years of her life she lived at Bridgeway Senior Living, a caring retirement community. She was fun-loving, energetic and always up for a new adventure. She was fiercely independent and embraced technology long before others her age and was disconsolate when Macular Degeneration and a failing memory forced her to give up using her computer. She loved all things Swedish and proudly wore the little wooden Dala horses that Pehr carved for her. She always said she was happy being a housewife and the wife of a Swedish singer but if she had been born two generations later she might had been running a company. Visitation
