Grant W. Reichard, age 87, of Park Ridge, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Mariett Davenport Reichard (née McCall) for 51 wonderful years. Loving father of Judy (Adnan) Puskar and Nancy (James) Wozniak. Devoted grandfather of Amel (Yasmin), Leyla, Emela, Jannah, and Steven. He is survived by brothers-in-laws: James (Carol) McCall, Robert (Lorna) McCall, Paul (the late Karen) McCall, cousins Tom (Cynthia) Peters. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Clara, and his cherished twin brother, the late Gordon (Barbara) Reichard, beautiful cousin Dorothy Gibson.

Grant was born and raised in Chicago, where he enjoyed a happy and memorable childhood. He later settled in Park Ridge to raise his family and always held a deep affection for his second home in Green Lake, Wisconsin. A lifelong learner with a strong work ethic, Grant earned three master's degrees—one each from the University of Illinois, the University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

A dedicated mechanical and electrical engineer, Grant continued working tirelessly in his profession until the age of 80. He was also a proud Eagle Scout and served honorably as a Lieutenant in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He was an active member of the Park Ridge Presbyterian church for many years, he enjoyed various clubs, and was blessed with many friendships, neighbors, and colleagues.

Grant will be remembered for his kind and patient nature.

Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Central Baptist Village, 4747 N. Canfield Ave., Norridge, IL 60706, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m.
