Glen D. “Bud” Anderson, a longtime resident of Des Plaines, IL, was born August 7, 1949, and passed away suddenly on June 10, 2026. Beloved son of the late Albert “Junie” and the late Violet; cherished brother of Lana (Dave) Pedersen, Bob (Jonie) Anderson, Linda (the late Terry) Potts, Laura Anderson (Art Olsen), and the late Bert (Margaret) Anderson; loving uncle to Eric Pedersen (Patty Bunton), Dan (Leah) Pedersen, Jody Anderson, James Anderson, Tom Anderson, Andrew Potts, Megan (Matt) McGovern, Kristin (Benjamin) Tedder, Eric Anderson, Amanda (Christian) Gordillo, Lauren Sciascia, and Jeremy Sciascia; great-uncle of Amelia and Henry Pedersen, Selene and Ariana Panzer, Anders Tedder, and Olin Ash.

Bud was a proud, hardworking, longtime member of IBEW Local 134. A gifted problem-solver, he was both a tinker and a thinker, earning the affectionate nickname “The Professor.” Bud had a deep love for nature and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, especially exploring the American West. He held a special passion for the Anderson family homestead in Wyoming, a place that brought him great joy and connection to his roots. Above all, Bud treasured his family and the many memories they shared together. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
