Gertrude M. Holmbo, 100, of Park Ridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She now joins her husband, Henry, and eldest son David, in the presence of the Lord, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her younger son, Donald, granddaughters Holly (John) Delich, Lindsey (Andrew) Arevalo, Stephanie (Joe) Kolean; many great grandchildren; and niece Marilyn (Dan) Barker, Marilyn was also the flower girl at Gertrude and Henry's wedding.

"Gert" was a wonderful wife to Henry, and very loving mother, who found no duty too be beneath her when doing the Lord's work at Camp AWANA, and constantly supported and stood by all members of her family despite any trial or tribulation. She thoroughly enjoyed fellowship at the Northside Gosepl Center, where she sang in the choir and served the Lord and her friends in so many ways.

Visitation, Monday, September 16, 2024, 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Chapel Service, 12:00 p.m., Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. Park Ridge, interment to take place privately at a later date, Town of Maine Cemetery, Park Ridge.
