Geraldeen Moran, died suddenly March 9, 2013. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Lauretta Laffey Moran. Much loved sister of the late Noreen, Eileen, the late Susan Killian (Brian), Kathleen (Larry) Gaichas, Lauretta, Thomas, Kevinne (Juntao Cai), and Kieran (Karen). Loving aunt of Catherine (James) Toth, Mary, Brian (Jennifer), Maureen and Kevin Killian; Sarah Gaichas (James Battin) and Timothy Gaichas; Katie Moran; Sophia and Susanna Cai; Brendan (Kristine) and Ellen Moran. Great aunt to Claire Toth, Max and Eve Gaichas, Annabel Battin and Aiden Killian. Geraldeen taught in Chicago public schools for over 25 years and ran the Resource Center at Northeastern Illinois University's Chicago Teachers' Center for 12 years. She was a gifted storyteller and writer, superior teacher, and inspiration to current teachers with hard work and innovative ideas and materials for teaching. Gone much too soon, she will be missed beyond measure by her family, friends and colleagues.

Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013, at St. Matthias, 2310 W. Ainslie, Chicago, Interment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery, 301 Chicago Avenue, Evanston. Gathering for luncheon at Prairie Moon restaurant, 1502 Sherman Road, Evanston.
