Ellen E. Schaden

Ellen E. Schaden (nee Frisen), Age 89. Infinitely cherished wife of Charles passed away in her Morton Grove home on December 8, 2025. Her loving and inspirational ways will be forever missed by her daughters, Sue (Steve) Sturm and Patty (Rod) Steffens.

Ellen’s prized Christmas cookies, photography, and sweet smile will hold a dear place in the hearts of her grandchildren Katie (Josh) Grover, Corianne (Steven Blue) Randstrom, Jenny Sonenthal, Tracy Randstrom, Natalie Sturm (Matthew Shenton), and Eric Sturm. Ellen’s great-grandchildren, John and Lexi Sonenthal, are fortunate to have been loved by such a devoted and thoughtful great-grandmother.

Ellen was a lifelong learner who in recent years enjoyed researching topics on her cell phone, continuing to cheer on her beloved Chicago Cubs, reading about American History, watching animals and great-grandchildren on Instagram, finding helpful household gadgets on Amazon, and supporting her family and friends with cards, texts, and genuine concern. We believe her favorite role was that of being a loving and supportive partner in business, life, and love for nearly 70 years to her husband, Chuck.
