Edward J. Krohn

Edward J. Krohn, 97, U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and Purple Heart recipient, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. Beloved son of the late Bernard and the late Kathryn Krohn; brother of the late Bernard Krohn, the late Robert (Irene) Krohn, the late Don (Lynn) Krohn, Dorothy (Wayne) Smith, and Marie (Lawrence) Ryan; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, and cherished friend to many. Edward was a man of integrity, known for his disciplined ways and deep love of the outdoors.

Visitation Tuesday, December 30, 2025, 4–8 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott Rd., Park Ridge. Funeral prayers Wednesday, December 31, 2025, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Juliana’s Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
