Donald Pegler, 82, of Park Ridge went to the Lord December 26, 2011.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29th from 3 to 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home 820 Talcott Road (at Cumberland), Park Ridge. Funeral Friday December 30th 9 a.m. from the funeral home to Mary, Seat of Wisdom Church in Park Ridge at 10:00 am. Interment with Military Honors will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bridie Cullen, parents Fred (CPD) and Mabel (MacDonald). Survived by two loving sisters-in-law Grace Gutman (Erich) and Pat Campbell, children Nancy (Rich Blonn), Mike, Kathie (Dave Zurek), Laurie, Kevin, John (Sue), Bob (Fran), and 12 cherished grandchildren: Amy, Jen, Katie, Colleen and Rick Blonn, Kelly and Kevin Zurek, Stephanie, Jack, Elizabeth, Catherine, and Ryan Pegler. U.S. Army Veteran during W.W. II. Park Ridge resident and Mary Seat of Wisdom parishioner for fifty years. Gifted illustrator and animator in the advertising industry including Foote, Cone, and Belding for over 40 years. Long-time supporter of Misericordia and generous volunteer of his time and talent as an artist for many. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Misericordia, American Cancer Society, or Rainbow Hospice.
