Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Daryl Tarbutton was called to everlasting peace on December 15th, 2019. Daryl was born in Topeka, Kansas, to Walter and Doris Oliver Tarbutton in 1947 spending his formative years in the Kansas City area. Following graduation from Shawnee Mission North H.S., he obtained his degree in business administration from Baker University, Baldwin, Kansas. At Baker, he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity where he is remembered for good-humored pranks and his participation on the college football and baseball teams. After graduation and service in the U.S. Marine Corps, he was employed in the bedding and furniture industry first in Kansas City then in Chicago. Following his retirement as President of Bemco Associates, Inc., Daryl founded an advertising and marketing firm in Park Ridge, IL, and was well known for his kindness and engagement in the community. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, daughter Whitney (Corey) Graving of Scottsdale, AZ, son, Morgan (Becca) Tarbutton of Downers Grove, IL, grandchildren Mason and Maddyn Graving, Olivia Tarbutton and siblings Barbara Collins and Roger (Ruth) Tarbutton of Kansas City. A memorial visitation will be at Nelson Funeral Home in Park Ridge on December 29th from 12-4 P.M. with interment at Maple Hill Cemetery, Maple Hill, Kansas at a later date.
