Christine Bernice (Tobolski) Allen was born in Chicago on November 11, 1946 and died in Park Ridge, Illinois on May 2, 2026.

She was preceded in death by parents Genevieve (Wilczynski) and Eugene Tobolski, and longtime friend and companion, Rod Look Hong.

She is survived by her loving brother Daniel Tobey and dear sister-in-law Katherine, beloved nieces Jennifer Parks (Louis), Kristen Tobey and Lauren Tobey (Randi Oliver) and darling grandnieces Annie and Leah Parks.

Chris graduated from college in Chicago and paid her tuition working in the jewelry department at Charles A. Stevens, where she developed a life-long love of jewelry and beautiful objects. She worked as a technical writer for Xerox in Chicago and in Sydney, Australia, and later worked for the Chicago Board of Trade. She was a great hostess, cat lover, estate sale habitué, had an irreverent sense of humor and lived life on her own terms.

She will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by her family and dear friends.
