Charlene M. Henley (nee Newman), age 78, beloved mother of Laura (Dave) Mullan, Joan (Henry, Jr.) Borger, Carole (Fred) Zei, Richard J. Jr., Marian (Dan) Liautaud, and Paul (Karen) Henley. Grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of three. Cherished aunt of many. Preceded in death by her loving husband Richard, sweet grand-daughter (Sarah Henley), sister Dorothy (Joe Kelly), brother Tom (Betty Newman), and parents Helen and Chuck.

Char was born in Chicago and attended St. Thomas Aquinas Grade School, Sienna High School, and Mundelein College. Char devoted her life to her family, and was loyal to her many friends. She was a long-time resident of Park Ridge, IL and most recently Alden Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates. She was a long standing member of Mary, Seat of Wisdom parish and an active member of Queen of Peace guild. She was a dedicated employee of Citizen's Bank.

Visitation is from 3:00 - 9:00pm on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd, Park Ridge, (847) 823-5122. Funeral mass on Friday, April 24, 10:00 at Mary, Seat of Wisdom. Internment at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
