Barbara J. Sides, 92, of Park Ridge, IL passed away on January 5, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Park Ridge, 401 W Touhy Ave.

Barbara was born on July 24, 1925 in Waukegan, Illinois to Reginald and Harriet Hulse.  Barbara was a graduate of Waukegan Township High School where she was Student Council President.  She graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Education and then from Northern Colorado University with an MA.  She was a teacher from 1947 to 1974. She taught in Pekin, IL for 10 years and the remaining time at Maine South High School In Park Ridge. She married Ralph Sides in 1964. He passed away in 1999.

Barbara was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Park Ridge.  She is survived by cousins, Margaret (Robert) Swanson, Minard (Adrienne) Hulse, James (Lollie) Snyder and the late Gerald (Elaine) Snyder and their families.
