Arlene L. Bickler nee Shea, 96, beloved wife of the late Paul W. for 52 years; dear mother of Paul, Kathy (Luke) Halloran and Carolyn (Richard) Hoff; loving grandmother of Susannah (Kyle) Peterson, Lauren, John and Luke Halloran, Sarah, Amanda and Richard Hoff; cherished great-grandmother of Olivia and Madalynn Peterson; devoted sister of the late John Shea, the late Anita Shea, the late Robert Shea, the late Dolores McAleenan, and the late Dorothy Weaver.

Arlene loved gardening and kept her landscaping impeccable with all of her marigolds, impatiens, and geraniums. All her energy and time was devoted to her family. Every year, she and Paul would pack a lunch and head to the Cubs game and cheer on her favorite team from the grand stands. Arlene enjoyed watching sports, Notre Dame, The Blackhawks, The Bears, or The Bulls, she was always keeping an eye on the score. Arlene was so devoted to her family and sports that she kept stats on all of her children and grandchildren when they played. She was also known for her love of music and baking, her chocolate chip cookies were a staple for many family moments.

Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Seat of Wisdom, 920 Granville Ave., Park Ridge, IL.
