Ann T. Tanabe

Ann T. Tanabe, 94, loving wife of the late Alon M. Tanabe; devoted daughter of the late Sam Luke "Look Ngip Jing" and the late Goldie Luke "Jung Shee"; beloved mother of the late Michael, Mary (John) Moy, Jane (Douglas) Gault, Paul (Susan), Robert, Susan (Chris) Connington, and Nancy (Gordon) Yee; cherished sister of the late Gene (May) Luke, the late Toy (Bill) Kay, the late Frank (Pauline) Luke, the late Betty (Andrew) Lo, and the late Billy Luke; treasured grandmother of Christopher (Nora), Gregory, Stephanie, Alexander, Christy, Melanie (Conor), Matthew, Andrew, Bryan, Taylor (Jeff), Benjamin, Mackenzie (Quinn), Justin, Lauren, and Madeleine; adoring great-grandmother of Anthony, Hazel, Katherine, Jude, Scarlett, Viggo, and Knox; and aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 W. Talcott Road, Park Ridge, IL 60068.

Funeral prayers will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 9:45 a.m. with procession to follow to St. Pascal's Catholic Church, 3935 N. Melvina Ave., Chicago, IL 60634 for Mass of Christian burial to begin at 10:30 a.m. 

Interment to follow at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL.
