IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ann Schott
Pearson
October 7, 1933 – December 18, 2023
Ann Schott Pearson of Denver, Colorado, passed away December 18, 2023.
Ann Francis Schott was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 7, 1933 to William and Alfrida Schott. Her son, Laurence Allan Pearson, survives her. She is a sibling to Geraldine Butler and Lois Johnson.
Ann grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated from Foreman High School in 1951. In 1956, she married Allan Donald Pearson. In 1961, she gave birth to her son Laurence Allan and in 1963, gave birth to her daughter Loretta Ann Pearson. Sadly, in 1965, Loretta Ann passed away unexpectedly. In 1976, Ann and her family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where they owned and operated a printing business until their divorce in 1994. After her divorce, she lived with her son Larry until her death.
Ann was a devoted and loving mother and a woman of great compassion, dignity, and integrity. Her motto was, "I work very hard to make things very easy". By applying this motto, Ann made things so very easy for her family and friends. Ann had a wide variety of hobbies and interests. She loved knitting, crocheting, and was a proficient tailor. She also enjoyed gardening, ballroom dancing, classic movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood, and interior design.
Perhaps the most fulfilling of her varied interests was being a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ann deeply loved her country and the people of the military who had served and laid down their lives for the freedom she so treasured. Ann was admitted to the Kinnikinnik Chapter of the DAR on February 1, 1980. In 1987, she was elected as Chapter Regent and served in that position until 1989. Her favorite duty as Chapter Regent was being on the committee that would present scholarships to those students beginning their college education. In a time where patriotism began being passé, Ann admired those youths who shared her deep and abiding love for the United States. She always felt that with youths like these, America would continue to be a beacon of light and freedom for the rest of the world.
