Ann M. Engblom (nee Giordano) loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Gilchrist Hospice, Towson, MD, at the age of 94. Ann was born June 15, 1920 to Pasquale and Teresa Giordano in Chicago.
She will be missed by her children; James (Debbie) Engblom of Flower Mound, TX, Patricia Engblom (Mark Czapski) of Baltimore, MD, and Nels (Catherine) Engblom of Des Moines, IA and her 7 grandchildren J.W. and A. Nethery Engblom; Nels Joseph, Charles, Isabella, Luke and Paul Engblom. Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband Nels O. Engblom; her brothers Carmen, John, Frank, Nick, Rocco, and Joseph, and her sister Rose.
A former resident of Park Ridge, a parishioner of Mary Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, Ann treasured entertaining family and friends for holidays, birthdays and any occasion that brought loved ones together. She also enjoyed bowling and volunteering for the Edison School PTA. While a parishioner at St. Angela's Catholic Church in Chicago, she was an active member of the Alter & Rosary Society. As a registered beautician, Ann was happy to share her skills with family and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 22nd from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Rosary Service 7 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road, Park Ridge. Funeral Mass Monday, March 23rd 10 am, meet at Mary Seat of Wisdom Church, 920 Granville Ave, Park Ridge. Interment St. Michael Archangel Cemetery. For more information 847-823-5122.
