John Frank, 88 of Rosemont, passed away July 12, 2012; U.S. Army Air Corps WW II Veteran, Member of the 11th Bomb Group; Beloved husband of Diane for 62 years; dear father of Barbara (John) Hannan and Jill Frank; loving grandfather of Scott Hannan, Becky (Matt) Claussen and Tisha Sardina; great-grandfather of Cassie,Tommy and Loren Lesko; fond brother of Don Franks and the late William, Dorothy Slate, Jean King and Ruth Heard; also special nieces and nephews survive.
Visitation Sunday 3 to 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road (at Cumberland), Park Ridge.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment Memory Gardens.

Dear Aunt Diane, Barb, Jill, and Frank family. I have a total lifetime of nothing but great memories of uncle Tom ( John ). From the time i was a little boy, to recent days, i can honestly say i never herd him say a cross word to anyone. his sense of humor was one of a kind. ( Like the Obama toilet paper in your bathroom last fall ) He was always first in line to help someone in need, loved children, loved his yard decorations at Christmas, loved to bowl, loved life, but most importantly he loved you Diane for 62 years. He is now in a better place, and i can only hope that there are Bowling alleys in Heaven.
