Dear Mrs. Stutzman,
I worked with Del at Parkside Lutheran Hospital. He was consistently
kind and supportive in his work with recovering patients. Del did not
talk much about his accomoplishments, but he quietly save many lives.
He treated people with addiction with respect and helped them get
the care they needed to survive and thrive.
In sympathy,
Janet Pickett

Dear Mrs. Stutzman, I am so sorry to hear of Del's death. I was the Program Director at Lutheran in the 80's and 90's; Del was always totally committed to patient care and recovery. He supported team work with all the staff. I also appreciated his wicked sense of humor as we coped with the onslaught of administrative directives and managed care restrictions. He helped us focus on quality care and high standards as he held himself to the highest standards.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I would have been at the funeral had I heard of the news in time.
In gratitude for Del's life and work,
Jean

Dear Mrs. Stutzman,
Please accept my heart felt condolences, for I was profoundly affected by your husband's passing. It brought back so many memories. I was the Nurse Specialist at Lutheran Addiction Hospital and we worked together from 1977 to 1999. I remember contacting him with numerous medical concerns over the years and he always maintained his professionalism and responded with orders that demonstrated quality of care. He inspired high standards for the care of addicts. His life counted and Dr. Stutzman in his own unique way made a tremendous difference. I regret that I had not heard in time, but my prayers are with you and the family. He always spoke highly of his family.
Sincerely, Anita Lewis-Schmoll
